aris offers its visitors a wide range of fun and exciting activities and each and every one of them is as good as you can imagine. However not everything is or should be about spending time going all excited and crazy with constant fun and many would agree with me that relaxation is an important part of tourism. To all the visitors going to Paris, I say that you are in luck that you found this article because this article is all about one thing in Paris that is a great relaxation opportunity for every tourist. No we won’t be discussing how comfortable the hotel beds are in Paris.
In fact it is something that is quite spectacular if you think about it. I am referring to the widely renowned Bateau Mouche cruise! A service filled with luxury and relaxation that you get not in your hotel room but right on top of River Seine in Paris. Operated by Compagnie des Beteaux Mouches, this is a service that has been here for the past 60 years and is an experience that is different from pretty much everything else that you get to experience in Paris. Read on to find out more about this spectacular cruise experience.
The company currently has a fleet of nine boats and each and every one of them is a beauty. These boats are enclosed in glass and filled with lighting that bathes them completely at night and make them look like tiny stars if you look at them from a distance. The seating is quite comfortable and is based on two tiers. It is always preferable to be on the top deck in order to fully enjoy the trip as the air brushes against your face while you enjoy the many sights that come your way during the whole trip.
After setting off from the jetty, the first thing you set your eyes upon is the Louvre Museum. The cruise takes you through a lesson in French history as you pass by other great monuments which include Hotel de Ville, Notre Dame and Arab World Institute. From this point the boat turns back and takes you back in the opposite direction while keeping in close proximity to the other bank of the River Seine. The sights on this side of the bank include the Institute of France Hotel de la Monnaie, Orsay Museum, Museum of Legion of Honor, Invalides and the Eiffel tower. The cruise goes as far as the Promenade of Swans and then turns back. The final monuments that you see are the Palais de Chaillot and Arc de Triomphe. The interesting thing however is that the route keeps on changing all the time so it is always a surprise.
Timings & Services
The boats keep on departing throughout the day and the best time to go is in one of the six boat restaurants which take you on this marvelous journey as you enjoy these amazing sights. The food is surprisingly great on these boat restaurants and perfectly complements the trip as you enjoy the refreshing cruise.
